Skoda recently introduced the new Superb Sportline trim, an athletic twist to its flagship lineup. It is stylish, comfortable, and tech-rich. Competing with the Toyota Corolla Touring, Volkswagen Passat, and the Mercedes C-Class, the Skoda Superb Sportline holds its own. This Sportline model is available in both liftback (Hatch) and estate (Combi) body styles. For 2025, the Skoda Superb Sportline will enhance its exterior and interior with unique styling, upgraded features, and a sportier chassis. But aside from the improved styling and interior refinements, the Skoda Superb Sportline maintains the standard powertrain lineup.

Sporty Exterior Design

The 2024 Skoda Superb Sportline edition has a unique exterior styling that makes it stand out from the competition. Building on the model’s executive look, the Sportline model swaps out chrome for blacked-out details. It features a black bumper extension, side skirts, and a rear diffuser. What makes the Superb Sportline stand out from the mainstream model is the exterior Sportline badging for an edgier feel. Besides these design upgrades, the Sportline has tinted windows and metallic black trim to complete its exterior transformation.

While the Skoda Superb Sportline comes standard with 18-inch anthracite wheels, the brand offers optional 19-inch Torcular alloys or Aniara wheels with aero covers. The athletic appearance is complete with LED Matrix beam headlights and animated LED taillights, like the Everest.

Premium Interior

The interior of the Superb Sportline 2024 maintains the luxury of the flagship model, with a few athletic touches. It features standard heated sports seats with integrated headrests. Highlights of the Skoda Superb Sportline include the AGR-certified seats that include heating, ventilation, and massage functions. These seats are optional for anyone who needs more comfort. The dark theme continues with Microsuede and artificial leather upholstery, black roof lining, and carbon-style inserts on the dashboard and doors. Stainless steel pedals and a Sportline badge on the steering wheel complete the sporty vibe.

Intuitive Infotainment System

Top tech features in the Skoda Superb Sportline include the 13-inch infotainment display and 10-inch Virtual Cockpit with Sportline-specific graphics. The model also features ambient lighting, and laminated glass for extra noise insulation. These high-spec amenities place the Sportline trim as a sportier alternative to the luxurious Laurin & Klement trim.

Powertrain Options

The Superb Sportline is available with the same range of engines as the standard model. It starts with the entry-level 1.5 eTSI mild-hybrid and 2.0 TDI diesel engines, both producing 148 hp (110 kW). Power output goes all the way up to 261 hp (195 kW / 265 PS) when equipped with the most potent 2.0 TSI non-hybrid powertrain setup.

Sporty Chassis

Aside from amazing exterior styling, the Skoda Superb Sportline has a sports chassis, which sits 15 mm (0.6 inches) lower than the standard Superb. The Chassis works with the standard progressive steering. An optional dynamic chassis control system provides adaptive damping for those seeking added customization and control over the vehicle’s ride quality.

The Superb Sportline is available with several powertrain options. The base models get the entry-level 1.5-liter TSI mHEV, which produces 148 hp (110 kW / 150 PS), similar to the 2.0 TDi diesel engines.

Superb RS Performance Variant

Rumors say that the Skoda is working on a Superb RS performance flagship, which could potentially feature a powerful plug-in hybrid setup. This model has not yet been officially confirmed by the brand. However, Skoda UK recently released the Sleeper Edition one-off. This unique model is based on the Superb Combi and carries a 470-hp 2.0 TSI engine under the hood.

Competitors and Future Outlook

While the Skoda Superb Sportline 2024 doesn’t bring additional power, it offers a visually enhanced version of the popular Superb.
