Skoda Enyaq RS Race Concept: A Lighter, Faster EV Ready for the Track

Skoda has reimagined the Enyaq Coupe vRS with its bold new Enyaq RS Race concept. The brand is tapping into the high-performance EV sector, which is one of the growing markets right now. With a 335-hp powertrain setup, be certain that the electric Enyaq will put up a good fight on the dragstrip. The Skoda Enyaq RS Race concept is a high-performance electric crossover coupe designed for the racetrack.

To challenge competitors like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, the Enyaq RS strips away 697 pounds (lbs) through biocomposite materials and eco-friendly engineering. Now 600+ pounds lighter than the Coupe vRS version, the Enyaq RS is an upgrade in performance and aesthetics. Read on to learn more about Skoda’s latest racecar concept, the Enyaq RS EV.

The Skoda Enyaq RS concept has a 335-horsepower powertrain, coming from its standard dual-motor, all-wheel drive setup.

Owing to the powerful battery pack and electric motors, the Enyaq RS can accelerate from zero-to-62 mph in under five seconds. If nothing else proves that the Enyaq RS Race concept is a powerful track-ready machine, the 0-62mph time certainly does.

Exterior Design

One of the best features of the Skoda Enyaq RS is the exterior design, which greatly underscores its motorsport identity and track capabilities. The concept EV has aggressive bumpers, an aerodynamic body kit, and darkened headlights.

The unique design features a ventilated hood, extended fenders, and a rear wing. Like the race-focussed 2024 Mustang, the Enyaq RS concept also boasts a stripped-down, race-focused interior featuring a roll cage.

The top interior Enyaq RS features are the Atech racing seats with six-point harnesses, a rally-style handbrake, and a race-ready steering wheel.

Upgrades

Beyond aesthetics, Skoda made several fantastic upgrades to the electric Enyaq Rs concept. The model features carbon-ceramic brakes, an advanced steering system, and an adjustable sports suspension.

To the top of the awesomeness, the Enyaq RS has a Havas premium audio system that enhances sound above 19 mph. The result is a more motorsport feel, something many performance-oriented EVs have been nailing very well recently.

The upcoming Enyaq RS has an 82 kWh battery pack, which will likely give the EV a good range. Though, as a high-performance, drag-racing electric car, the Enyaq RS will have a shorter driving range.

Like its standard model, the Skoda Enyaq RS concept has a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup. The weight reduction gives the Enyaq RS Race concept an edge in racing. In real life, the Enyaq Rs will achieve impressive acceleration and performance that rivals traditional sports cars.
