Maserati has just unveiled the 2024 GranCabrio Trofeo Trim. This isn’t any ordinary convertible like the old Alfa Romeo Spider or the Dodge Custom Royal Convertible D-500. The GranCabrio is an electric sports car masterpiece set to redefine open-air grand touring. This GranCabrio Trofeo edition is on its way to becoming one of the best summertime road trip convertibles. It will also be among Italy’s best-looking convertible sports cars, targeting the Ferrari Roma. That’s if you can afford the 2024 GranCabrio Trofeo’s $197,000 price tag.
Building on the success of its 2022 GranTurismo sibling, this Maserati 2+2 convertible grand tourer brings a powerful Nettuno V6 engine. This 2+2 convertible grand tourer promises a thrilling driving experience. With a sleek convertible design, the 2024 GranCabrio Trofeo features a fabric roof. The collect part about this roof is that you can operate it at 50 km/h in just 14 seconds. Maserati’s Coupe version of the Trofeo features the same engine and comes at around the same price. Both of these trims have a technologically advanced interior with a 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster. Boasting a formidable 542-horsepower twin-turbo engine, the 2024 Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds.
The Maserati GranCabrio Has A Stylish Design
Compared to the closed-roof GranTurismo sibling, the Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo features a sleeker appearance. We think it’s because of the convertible design.
The standout feature is its fabric roof. You can control his roof via the infotainment display. As we mentioned, the convertible top unfolds in just 14 seconds.
The soft top is designed to provide exceptional thermal and acoustic comfort and is available in five colors. The rest of the GranCabrio Trofeo body shares similarities with the GranTurismo, except for the redesigned rear deck.
The Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo Trim Has An Amazing Set Of Technology Features
The center console is the most attractive part of the 2024 Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo’s cabin. It features a 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, and an 8.8-inch climate control touchscreen.
To give occupants a more open-air driving experience, Maserati added a standard neck warmer for the driver and front passenger. These neck warmers come with three levels of intensity.
Additionally, there’s an optional wind-stopper available to reduce turbulence inside the cabin.
The Maserati GranCabrio in the Trofeo specification combines a rich dark blue color with a striking red upholstery for the cabin. Also, the Trofeo variant features sportier front and rear bumpers, abundant carbon fiber accents, and a set of multi-spoke alloy wheels finished in black.
Maserati GranCabrio Has a 542-HP V6 Engine
Beneath the hood, the 2024 Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo has a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 Nettuno engine, which produces 542 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. This is the same engine powering the Trofeo Coupe version, sending power to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
This GranCabrio can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.6 seconds. And it has a top speed of 316 km/h (196 mph).
It’s reasonable to expect that Maserati will provide the GranCabrio with a less powerful version of the V6, delivering 483 hp (490 PS / 360 kW) and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque.
The Maserati GranCabrio Will Spawn The Electric Folgore
Maserati officially confirmed a fully electric GranCabrio Folgore that joins the brand’s emission-free lineup. This electric 2025 Maserati Folgore variant will share the tri-motor setup with the GranTurismo Folgore version, generating a combined 751 horsepower.
