Exterior Design Features And Updates

The VW ID. Buzz GTX boasts a sleek and modern design, as seen in its dark teaser image. With a redesigned front bumper featuring triangular LEDs, the model adopts the signature traits of the GTX family. 

Volkswagen based the prototype ID. Buzz GTX model on the long-wheelbase variant of the ID. Buzz. We spotted a revised bumper with a honeycomb intake and distinctive five-spoke alloy wheels, enhancing its athletic appearance.

These updates include a revamped bumper with a honeycomb intake and stylish five-spoke alloy wheels. In terms of dimensions, the VW ID. Buzz GTX prototype version measures 4,962 mm (195.4 in) long, compared to the 4,712 mm (185.5 in) of the standard model.

Interior Design

While the brand hasn’t revealed images of the cabin, the 2025 VW ID. Buzz GTX will be spacious and comfortable, reminiscent of the original Volkswagen minivan. 

From an earlier teaser image, we saw that the VW ID. Buzz GTX EV features a steering wheel accented with red stitching. The cabin incorporates other dynamic elements to complement the enhanced performance. 

Like many new minivans, the Volkswagen ID. Buzz EV’s interior will feature modern design cues and premium materials. We also expect the interior to blend retro charm and contemporary luxury, which is something Volkswagen has been doing for the last couple of years. Comfort features such as ergonomic seating with ample legroom and headroom for all passengers could be a highlight.

According to VW Commercial Vehicles Research and Development chief Kai Gruenitz, the model will come with distinctive exterior colors, exclusive interior details, and “some extra features.”

2025 Volkswagen ID. Buzz GTX EV Infotainment Technology

In terms of entertainment, the new Volkswagen ID Buzz GTX may feature advanced infotainment systems with touchscreen displays. Given current market trends and the emphasis on advanced technology, the VW ID. Buzz GTX could offer a standard infotainment screen size of around 9 to 12 inches. The 2025 minivan could offer optional larger screens, ranging from 12 to 15 inches,  for higher trim levels or as part of premium package options. These larger screens could provide enhanced functionality and a more immersive user experience

Either way, the new 2025 Volkswagen ID. Buzz GTX’s infotainment system will feature smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, and premium audio options. The ID. Buzz GTX will have innovative driver-assist technologies and connectivity features like adaptive cruise control and collision warning systems. 

Performance and Driving Dynamics

Equipped with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) dual electric motor setup, the VW ID. Buzz GTX delivers impressive performance. Producing a combined 335 horsepower (250 kW / 340 PS), the model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 6.4 seconds.

Like the brand did with the new Volkswagen Tayron/Tiguan, the VW ID Buzz has a finely tuned chassis setup that promises an engaging driving experience.

Volkswagen will unveil the VW ID. Buzz GTX during the Annual Press Conference 2024 on March 21st, 2024. Additionally, the conference promises a glimpse into VW’s future strategy, teasing further announcements and developments in the EV landscape.
