The New 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Has A $60K Starting Price

Dodge recently made waves with the release of the new 2024 Charger Daytona EV. And this time, The Charger just got a whole lot more interesting. Aside from the starting price of $59,595 for the 2024 Dodge Charger, the electric muscle car also qualifies for the full $7,500 federal tax credit. This is a huge plus for Charger enthusiasts who want to take the Ford Mustang competitor home. The 2024 Charger offers 456 horsepower in the base R/T trim, while the Scat Pack model delivers up to 630 horsepower. Yeah. To top that off, the brand threw in a Powershot function that boosts horsepower. Let’s learn more about what the 2024 Charger has in store. 

Two Trim Levels Available

The 2024 Dodge Charger EV lineup includes two trim levels: the Daytona R/T model and the Scat Pack version. The Charger Daytona R/T, the base model in the series comes with 18-inch aluminum wheels and a sport suspension. Highlights of the R/T’s interior are the heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The driver’s seat also includes eight-way power adjustments.

While the base Charger R/T has a dual-motor powertrain with 456 horsepower, the Scat Pack version produces up to 630 horsepower. Both EVs feature a Powershot function that elevates the power output to 496 hp in the R/T and 670 hp in the Scat Pack. 

Highlights of the 2024 Dodge Charger include the heated steering wheel, dual-motor all-wheel drive system, and the standard PowerShot function. 

2024 Dodge Charger Infotainment System

Technology-wise, the 2024 Charger comes with a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system, with standard wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play. This screen sits beside the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, which is positioned in the cockpit. 

Below the infotainment system, the 2024 Charger has a dual-zone automatic climate control system. Its technology features list also includes a nine-speaker Alpine audio system with a subwoofer, along with a universal garage door opener, and Keyless Go. 

2024 Dodge Charger Safety

The new Charger offers a plethora of safety and driver assistance systems. These include the front/rear/side park warning, active blind spot, active lane management, and rear cross-path detection. 

For the 2024 model year, the Dodge Charger features list also consists of the automatic emergency braking system, traffic sign information technology, automatic high beams, and drowsy driver detection. 

2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T Engine And Performance

The 2024 Charger gets its power from a dual motor all-wheel drive system, producing 456 horsepower (340 kW / 462 PS) and 404 lb.-ft (547 Nm) of torque. The R/T features a PowerShot feature, which increases the power output to 496 hp (370 kW / 503 PS) for 15 seconds at a time.

Courtesy of the 496-hp powershot-boosted powertrain, the 2024 Charger R/T can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 137 mph (220 km/h). The base version has a 100.5 kWh battery pack, which gives it a total driving range of up to 317 miles (510 km).

2024 Charger Scat Pack Version Specs 

For a price tag of $73,190, buyers can have the 2024 Dodge Charger Scat Pack version, which offers up to 630 horsepower and 627 lb.-ft of torque. 

Like in the R/T, the Scat Pack version has a PowerShot function that boosts the power output from 630 to 670 hp (500 kW / 679 PS).

With up to 670 worth of tire-threshing horsepower under the hood, the 2024 Charger Scat Pack can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.3 seconds. This version can run the quarter-mile in an estimated 11.5 seconds. 

Unlike the R/T, the Scat Pack version of the 2024 Charger has a top speed of 134 mph (216 km/h), with a driving range of 260 miles (418 km/h).

Why I Love The 2024 Charger Scat Pack Version

Besides the upgraded powertrain, the 2024 Charger Scat Pack has additional drive modes, a Line Lock function, and Launch Control. The Scat Pack variant brings the standard Track Pack package, which includes features like a dual valve adaptive damping suspension, and 20-inch aluminum wheels. Also standard with the Track Pack is the Brembo braking system with red calipers, and a a gloss black rear spoiler. 

The interior of the Charger Scat Pack model is concealed in leather with suede performance seats, heated rear seats, and a head-up display.  The Scat Pack version also offers a 16-inch digital instrument cluster in the cockpit. The trim also has a Drive eXperience Recorder option to record videos. The recorder has a built-in function for the recorded videos to synchronize the logging of audio, video, and vehicle data.

Dodge Charger R/T & Scat Pack Features And Packages

A $4,995 Plus Group package is among the many options available for both the R/T and the Scat Pack models in the 2024 Dodge Charger lineup. However, the components of this package vary. With the Plus Group Package, your 2024 Charger can have features like a 360-degree surround vision camera, a motorized hatch, ventilated front seats, and door panel trim. The package also comes with a wireless smartphone charger,  a premium dashboard, a frunk, and “Attitude Adjustment” lighting. It also includes Puddle lamps with the Dodge emblem, and high-quality LED headlights, among a few others. 

Buyers can also have the R/T and Scat Pack trims with the $2,495 Sun & Sound package, which adds features like can an 18-speaker Alpine premium audio system and a glass roof..

The R/T can be had with a special Blacktop package. Priced at around $1,095, this package brings 20-inch wheels with a dark finish and dark badges on the front and back.

Two special packages, one of which is a 3-Season Tire Pack, are available with the Scat Pack trim. Instead of the regular all-season tires, the car is equipped with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires, which cost $695.

Customers purchasing Scat Packs can now choose the $2,995 Carbon & Suede combo package. This 3K package brings features like carbon fiber mirror caps, dark 20-inch wheels, as well as leather and suede seats. With the Carbon and Suede package, your 2024 Dodge Charger can have dark emblems, and a carbon fiber trim too.

2024 Charger Release Date and Availability

The Charger will arrive at dealerships in the fourth quarter of 2024. The electric Charger muscle cars will come with a free Level 2 charging station or $600 in charging credits.

2025 Dodge Charger Daytona Pricing

The upcoming Dodge Charger is available in Daytona R/T and Scat Pack versions. The 2024 Charger Daytona R/T variant starts at $59,595, while the Charger Daytona Scat Pack has a starting price of $73,190. This price doesn’t include a $1,995 destination fee.
