Unlike the  TRD Sport and the RRD Off-Road, the Trailhunter version comes with an 8-speed transmission system.

The 2024 Toyota Tacoma lineup offers multiple powertrain options.

The base SR trim has the turbocharged 2.4-liter 4-cylinder that produces 228 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque in the base SR trim.

The i-Force Engine offers 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque with a 6-speed manual or 278 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque with an 8-speed automatic.
